Springtime Bliss Sweater Pattern

This pattern is designed for a mid-gauge knitting machine to create a beautiful spring sweater for a size medium woman using sport weight yarn.

Materials:

• Yarn: Sport weight yarn - 1000 yards (Imperial), 900 meters (Metric)
• Needle size: US 5 (Old UK 9, Metric 3.75 mm) for the main body, US 4 (Old UK 8, Metric 3.5 mm) for ribbing
• Size medium women's sweater for fit

Instructions:

1. Using US size 5 needles, cast on 120 stitches for the back panel.
2. Knit in stockinette stitch for 10 inches.
3. Shape neckline by binding off the center 40 stitches and then knitting each side separately for 8 inches.
4. Join yarn at the shoulder edge to create the front panel and repeat the same steps as the back panel.
5. Join shoulder seams using mattress stitch.
6. Pick up stitches around the neckline and knit 2x2 ribbing for 1 inch using US size 4 needles.
7. Repeat the same for sleeve edges and sweater hem.
8. Weave in all ends and block the sweater to finish.
